Another great Mornington Peninsula Winery Tour last Saturday with my guests from different parts of the world. Two groups combining again to enjoy a relaxed tour seeing the sites of the Mornington Peninsula and visiting some great wineries. One group was from the United Kingdom while the other was from India, New Zealand and Fiji, although now residing in Melbourne and Sydney. The tour commenced on the Peninsula with pick ups in Mornington and Rye. First stop was Ten Minutes by Tractor, then T’Gallant, Ocean Eight and then lunch at the Morning Sun Vineyard. After lunch a trip to the other side of the Mornington Peninsula to the Balnarring Vineyard to check out the resident Koala and taste their great range of wines. The very busy Bass & Flinders Distillery was the next stop to taste some of their spirits. The excellent Gins were a favourite and went down very well. Our final stop was Red Hill Cheese to taste and purchase some evening snacks. After Red Hill Cheese a slow drive down from Arthur’s Seat showcasing the beautiful views of the Mornington Peninsula with the late afternoon sun creating some great photo opportunities.
