Tuesday morning, although the weather was not the best, we set off for a Mornington Peninsula Discovery Tour showcasing the sites and attractions of the Peninsula. Even the rain did not dampen their enthusiasm for the beautiful Peninsula.
Wednesday morning, the weather much nicer, we set off for the Dandenong Ranges with a stopover at the Moonlit Sanctuary to check out the native animals. After the Sanctuary, a unique experience with a ride on the Puffing Billy before a visit to the National Rhododendrum Gardens at Olinda. Finally, a drop off in Melbourne, for my new friends to continue their holiday.
Yesterday, a perfect Saturday winery tour, for my Irish guests, plus one. Our first visit was Ten Minutes by Tractor followed by Foxey’s Hangout, Ocean Eight and then Morning Sun Vineyard for lunch. Being a beautiful sunny day the lunch outside on the terrace overlooking the vines was perfect. Following lunch, a quick tasting at Red Hill Cheese before finishing up with a relaxed glass of wine on the deck at Polperro. The wine must have been good as purchases were made at every winery. Great company and a great day.
