Great day was had on Saturday 29th November with a wine tour starting from a pick up in South Melbourne and then Mentone. My return guests from the UK were wanting to show their visiting parents some of the beautiful wineries and wines of the Mornington Peninsula.
The first stop was at Port Phillip Estate, then off to Polperro.
Both beautiful wineries with wine to match.
Their choice for lunch was at the Whispering Vines Cafe at the Trofeo Estate.
Excellent food and a nice relaxed environment.
Our next stop was the Popular Foxeys where it was very crowded and noisey. Luckily the wine was very good which made up for the crowds.
After leaving Foxeys we went to try some cheese tasting at the tranquil Red Hill Cheese.
Our final stop was at The Ocean Eight Vineyard where my guests enjoyed the excellent wine and the beautiful ambience of the gardens.
Before heading back to South Melbourne we took the scenic drive down from Arthurs Seat to Showcase the amazing Mornington Peninsula to my English Guests
